Grzegorz Swiezak

Technical Lead Instructor

Grzegorz Świeżak

Grzegorz began his career in the wind industry in 2012 as a service technician and service lift installer. Over the years, he developed his experience in full turbine installation and completion, covering both electrical and mechanical scopes across onshore and offshore projects throughout Europe. 
He joined Global Wind Service in 2021, working on projects for Siemens Gamesa and Vestas, and became part of the Academy team in 2022. 
Grzegorz is recognised for his calm, professional approach and his ability to link technical requirements with real site conditions, ensuring training remains clear, practical, and aligned with everyday operational realities. 
I his spare time, he enjoys motorsports, travelling, and spending time outdoors.

Piotr Swiderek

Piotr Świderek

With over 15 years of experience in the wind industry, Piotr has worked across multiple roles and project environments in Europe. His career includes positions at LM Wind Power and Siemens Gamesa, as well as roles within Global Wind Service as a service technician, warehouse coordinator, and PPE inspector.

Piotr is valued for his structured approach, technical accuracy, and strong focus on safety and standards, ensuring that training is clear, relevant, and aligned with real working conditions in the wind industry.

Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, climbing, and cooking. 

Christos Zuchowicz

Christos Żuchowicz

Delivering the following training programs:

  • GWO Blade Repair
  • GWO Spot Paint on Metal
  • GWO Advanced Rescue Training

Christos has a technical background in Civil Engineering and Hydrotechnics, having graduated from West Pomeranian University of Technology. In 2022, seeking new professional challenges, he entered the wind industry as a Blade Repair Technician, gaining experience working with and leading rope access teams.

He later joined Global Wind Service and became part of the Academy team, focusing on transferring practical knowledge and site-based experience to new industry professionals.

Christos is known for his precision, persistence, and individual approach to trainees, supporting clear understanding and effective learning outcomes.

After work, Christos enjoys spending time with his family, travelling, and staying active through sport.

Tycjan Zalewski

Delivering the following training programs:

  • GWO Basic Technical Training

Tycjan has a background in computer technology but has more than a decade of experience in wind industry. Tycjan’s roles included being a team leader, Site Manager, and Quality Advisor.

His knowledge covers all stages of wind turbine construction, installation, mechanical and electrical completion as well as maintenance and service.

Tycjan joined Global Wind Service in 2015, first working as a Site Manager. In 2022 he became GWS Academy instructor. His biggest motivation is to share his knowledge while inspiring the next generation of wind energy professionals.

Marcin Zalewski

Instructor

Marcin Zalewski

Delivering the following training programs:

  • GWO Slinger Signaller  
  • GWO Crane hoist basic user
  • GWO Service lift user

Marcin began his career in the culinary field after graduating as a chef. After several years in the industry, he decided to explore new opportunities. Over time, he worked as a city bus driver and served six years in the military as a gunner on the KTO Rosomak. He also briefly led a team of candidates training to become professional soldiers.

Marcin transitioned to the maritime industry, joining the crew of a fast rescue boat supporting "overside work" operations on offshore platforms in the North Sea. Later, he moved to a cargo ship, where he gained experience in crane operations, cargo securing, and managing cargo operations as a sailor and Bosun. This hands-on experience gave him the skills he now shares with trainees during specialized courses.

In his free time, Marcin enjoys reading fantasy novels and riding his Surfskate whenever the weather allows.

Aleksandra Gajewska Niemyt

Head of GWS Academy

Aleksandra Gajewska-Niemyt

Meet Aleksandra, also known as Ola. Starting as a Training Coordinator at Global Wind Service in 2016, she quickly advanced to become the Training Team Lead. After that, she was assigned a role of Program Manager to establish the Global Wind Service Academy in Poland.

Today Ola is the Head of Academy overseeing all activities around its daily business. Additionally, she works actively on promoting the wind industry as a great place to work.

Lukasz Mazurek

Łukasz Mazurek

Lukasz brings nearly 20 years of experience in sales across a variety of industries. Over the years, he has developed a reputation for building strong relationships and delivering results, with a focus on understanding client needs and creating tailored solutions.

At GWS Academy, Lukasz is focused on driving growth and expanding our reach, ensuring we remain a trusted partner in training and development.

Julia Długosz

Julia plays a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our training programs. Supporting both instructors and technicians, Julia takes care of all administrative matters and is a vital point of contact for course logistics, technician support, and overall coordination.

 

With a strong passion for health and well-being, Julia is currently pursuing a degree in Physiotherapy.

After work, Julia is a lover of books, art, music, and all things handcrafted. Creativity and curiosity are at the heart of everything she does, whether organizing training schedules, assisting students, or exploring new hobbies after hours.
